There are two links to the left. Each is an Excel workbook containing the cumulative portion of your ACCT220 final exam.
Look at each tab of the workbooks. You will see that, working from the left tab to the right, there are:
1. A basic A=L+OE template with columns for appropriate financial statements and transaction descriptions. This is very similar to the templates we have been working with in our text.
2. Adjusting Journal Entries (AJEs)
3. Balance Sheet
4. Income Statement
5. Statement of Cash Flows
6. The "Structure"
One of the workbooks is complete, and includes everything you will be required to do (the exam will have different amounts). The other workbook contains what you will be given (except the transactions and amounts you will need to use).
You will need to complete the impact and description of the transactions provided on the first tab, prepare the journal entries, and complete the financial statements.
I recommend that you play with these files as the semester progresses. Feel free to ask me about them at any time.
Please note that I have included formulas and references in the completed workbook so that anything entered on the leftmost tab will automatically be entered in the correct journal entries and also in the appropriate financial statement(s).
This means that you can change numbers or remove and replace numbers on the first tab and see their impact in the other places. I believe doing this will help to build your understanding of the connections among the elements and various financial statements.
